Foreign Wire Transfer contribution

Our church has received a sizeable wire tranfer contribution from another country. I was going to just do a journal entry but wondered if I could enter the contribution as a check separately from any other offerings. It would show up as a deposit and also go through the contribution module as well. Is there a better way?

Entering it as a contribution separate from any other contributions will work.
Version 10 will actually allow you to set up a contribution type of Wire Transfer, rather than being stuck with only Cash or Check.
