I have 2 contributors whose Fund Summary is correct but the Pledge Summary is off. I've posted one below.

I saw another user on this forum had the same problem, and I tried the solution there (Contributions ->Search for Contributions not applied to a Pledge) but the only results I got were for 2003. I applied those anyway, but still the report comes out the same.

Go to the View Posted Contributions screen, locate the person in question, and take a look at those particular contributions. If there are any that do not have the word "pledge" in the right hand column, you can manually apply them here by using the "Change Pledge" button.

The "Search for contributions not applied to a pledge" option on the CO menu should have found any that match the contributor, date, and fund of the pledge.

Probably a long shot, but go to the maintain pledges, find the envelope number, and click pledge detail for the pledge in question. The contributions shown in this list are all the contributions applied to this pledge. Look for a negative contribution in a prior year. That is the only thing I can think of that might cause this kind of problem. Other than that, look for a discrepancy between this list and the contributions on the statement.

Jeff, you're on the right track!

I went to Contributions -> Maintain Pledges -> Pledge Detail (for each year that the contributor has pledges listed.

For one of my contributors, the year 2004 shows 2 2006 pledges. For the other contributor, the year 2002 shows 1 2006 pledge. They are both the exact amounts missing from the totals!

So, how do I make them show up in the correct year? And how did they get to those old years (both the first year each of these contributors to have a pledge, I happened to notice).

p.s. Zorak, I did follow your instructions as well, but all the contributions did have pledge listed.

I don't know if I can tell you exactly how this happened, but to fix the problem: Go back to the view posted contributions screen and find the 2004 contributions incorectly applied to this pledge. Click on the Change Pledge button. On this screen, you can select another pledge to apply this contribution to, or select the Do not apply this contriution to a pledge option.
