Maint Rel for Ver 9 dated 5/17/07 and Bank Deposit Slip

I've been using the Bank deposit slip report as a list to go by when endorsing donor checks and checking accuracy of the data entered, since the items are listed in that report are in the same order the checks are in the stack. However with the latest maint rel for version 9 that report now comes out in order of contribution numbers, so it is harder to use it when endorsing the checks, since now you have to hunt all over it for a certain check number to verify if it has the correct name and amount for that check number entered. Also if a certain check doesn't happen to get entered, it would be harder to spot that it is missing in the list. I went back to the previous maint release after encountering this. I would like to see the choice presented when selecting this report to have it presented in either data entry order, or contribution number order. Has anyone else run into this problem with this newest release for version 9? I also like the list to be in the order the checks are stacked as a list to present to the bank when depositing. I don't know whether they care if the checks are scattered all over when compared to the listing you give them, but to me it doesn't seem they would like it.

This issue has been reported and will be fixed in the next maintenance release of both versions 9 and 10.

Please fix that as soon as possible. It just creates more work.

FWIW .. the website shows that there is a new maintenance release for version 10 dated 6/11/07, which I assume has the fix for this, since this has come out since this issue was reported.

I would suspect that the version 9 MR will be out shortly.

The MR listed above does not fix the issue.

The 6/11 date was uploaded with only a single fix for a single user that was experiencing it. To keep people from having to download so many different maintenance releases, we uploaded this one "under the radar" without any fanfare or announcements.

The bug is "in progress" right now, meaning we are working on it and will certainly announce when it is fixed.

Thanks for the update. I have to admit, it had me puzzled since there was only a version 10 MR and not one for version 9.

How's progress on that "fix" coming along? The 96-year-old woman (really) that helps me with the finances would like to know.

The fix was issued in a 6/25 Maintenance Release announced here:
http://powerchurch.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=8925#8925 and by e-mail.

If you did not receive an e-mail announcement, be sure to check the "Auto Notify Me" box on the Maintenance Release form.

Thanks for the response. I've checked that notification box many times, but don't get notified that awful much. I can recall a couple times.

Hmmm! Looks to me like it's still the 5/17 maintenance release for Version 9.

D'OH!

Sorry. There has been a v10 maintenance release. v9 is still in progress, but will be on its way very soon.

Many thanks for that latest v.9 maintenance release. My 96-year-old colleague is happy again...which means I am too!
