I want to hide names from Unposted Contrib report

Post by John Dykema »

Will someone please tell me what combination of System Setting and the User Profile permissions it takes to eliminate names from the Unposted Contribs report? I have tried ompteen conbinations with no success. I had no trouble in v 8.5 but whatever I do now, in v10 the names still print on the Unposted Contribs report.
Setting aside the politics about seeing confidential data or not, we just don't want to see names on this report.
Thanks.
We are using PC+ v.11 with the latest upgrades, Win XP Pro, and 5 networked pc's.

Create a login with data entry only access to the CO module. On the System Settings page of the password dialog, uncheck the "display contributor names to data entry operators." You will need to login in as a data entry operator to run the report without names.

Jeff, I have done this many many times trying to get the correct combination. I have "quick tasks" set up for the data entry people. They are able to click on "Enter contributions", "Modify unposted contributions" with success.

When they clicked on Unposted contribtions report or Funds Report (on the quick tasks menu) an error would say they had no access to these.
Just tonight I deleted the Quick Task menu and behold, if I use the regular drop down menus they can do Reports/ unposted contributions report/ and Funds Report. Wallah! The names have disappeared also.

Maybe you can check the Quick Task process to see if you can generate this error too.
I'm running the latest MR., v10. 7/10/07
Thanks.
