The person doing the contribution recording of our weekly givings has run into two problems. Will copy text from her emails below.

"Al, I haven't been able to enter any offering figures on PowerChurch since
early July as Funds 1, 2, and 3 have completely disappeared. I just didn't
have much time to try and figure out a solution and am a bit hesitant to do
anything that might make the problem worse! Will have a look at it in the
next week, and, if all else fails, maybe when you get back, I could get the
end-of-June data from the office computer, and then start again from there."

"However, I then looked at a screen I hadn't explored before, called "Audit Event Viewer" in the Contributions module, and I see there that on July 29, which would have been the day I added the 3 new funds, "Fund 1 was changed to Fund 22, Fund 2 to 23, and Fund 3 to 24", so I guess that is the source of the problem. So now all the money that had been entered in Fund 1 (Local Envelopes) is showing up as Youth Group, and Fund 3 (Mission and Service) is showing up as Gifts. Don't know whether I could simply change the names back to the originals????? Obviously, I wouldn't want to lose all the entries for the first six months of the year. "

Summary:
1. Can't enter July - Sept data although it is set for 12 months.
2. Three funds have disappeared, and contributions to them have showed up in other funds.

This usually happens when someone was trying to add a new fund, but didn't hit the add button at the top of the form. The entry in the audit log confirms this is what happened here. If you don't hit the add button, you change the currently displayed fund. When you do this, the user receives the following confirmation prompt:

CONFIRM: Change Contribution Fund Number from 100 to 500?

You can change the fund number back to the original fund numbers and descriptions. You will need to reverse out any contributions that were entered to what was supposed to be the new fund.

1. Can't enter July - Sept data although it is set for 12 months.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. This is a setting in the Fund Accounting Module and has no effect in the contributions module.

Will try to change the fund names and numbers back to what they were, to see if the amounts get changed to the proper funds.

Then, we'll try to add the three new funds using the Add button.

Then, we'll try to solve the problem of not being able to enter Contributions for July through September.
