we upgraded for V 9 to Ver 10; however ver 9 is still on our systems. my coworkers have been entering contributions in ver 9 not ver 10; how can i transfer them to the correct version?

Have you made any changes to the data originally imported into V10 when it was installed? If you have not the thing to do is to delete the entire V10 directory and reinstall it. The data from V9 can not be transfered over by any other means, that I am aware of, except manually entering each contribution.

Tom,

you're correct. If the ver 10 database has been updated with other data, the only way to add the contribution data from version 9 is manually.

What I would do right now, Wandkett, is to go an make sure that any icon for Version 9 is deleted from the desktop.

This will not delete version 9, just eliminate easy access to it. You'll still be able to access it from the START => PROGRAMS menu.

Wanda,

all the 'client' computers are running Powerchurch from the shared drive on the server. What you need to do is make sure that the server has the Powerchurch directory shared to all users. You'll have to get with your system administrator to make sure this is done.

Once that is completely, you should copy the update from the client computer to the server. You'll then have to log on to the server and run the update from that computer, not one of the clients.

Then once that's done, I'd make sure that the drive is indeed mapped to a drive letter on each computer, then run the NetSetup10 program from the Powerchurch directory to make sure that all the Powerchurch local files are setup and the new Powerchurch 10 icon is placed on the desktop.

Hope this helps.
