Is there a simple way to get a report that shows the number of envelopes that were issued in a particular year? We'd like to track the number of regular givers year over year.

Not quite sure what you mean. You could run the 'Selected Contributors' report to get a list who contributed in a certain time frame.

We do not track *when* an envelope was assigned, so if you are looking for a count of envelopes assigned over the course of a specified date range, there is not such a thing.

PowerChurch Plus v10 has the "First Time Contributors" report, which should give you what you need to know, people who gave for the first time ever, during the specified date range.

Okay, here's a better description of what we're trying to figure out... We want to be able to track that in 2006 there were 103 envelope sets in use and in 2007 there were 111 envelope sets in use, or whatever the actual numbers are.

For now, we'll use the Selected Contributors report, but it would be great if there were another report that didn't show the confidential information like names & total contribution dollar amounts. If the report could be run for date ranges and envelope number ranges, that would allow us to get all of the info we need for our stats. I guess for now, it's a wishlist item.

From what I gather, you want to know the total number of 'active' envelopes. Here's an easier way: I'm assuming you only issue envelopes to members, and that any Loose Cash Offerings are given to an envelope number outside your normal membership range.

Use the Contribution Range report, setting the selection to members only, the envelope range to the range of envelopes that you have set aside for members, and the fund numbers to the funds you use.

The total will show you the number of contributors (envelopes) along with the total amount for the year, with no personal info included.

Yes, the Contribution Range Report is just what we need, THANKS!

There are so many different reports and the names don't always give you a good idea of what info you'll get from them so sometimes it's hard to find the report you need.
