Using preferred names on the tax receipts

Post by JHosmar »

Is it possible to use the preferred names instead of the given names on the tax receipts?

We have a number of Dutch Immigrants in our church. Our secretary has listed some of these members in the personal profiles with their Dutch first name as the given name and the name that they use in Canada as their preferred name. It has upset a few of our members when I sent them their contribution statements with their "Dutch" names listed at the top. I don't think that they will appreciate their tax receipts showing the same information so I would like to be able to change this.

Thanks

Unfortunately, the tax receipts (or contribution statements used in the US) use the given name, not the 'preferred' name. I believe it has been requested in the Wishlist that this become an option in the report dialog screens. However, I don't expect to see it before version 11 !
