Odd Question re: "Clear" button

Post by MistyH »

I hope you all don't think I'm completely crazy, although I just may be.
I'm always looking for little shortcuts - the things that don't save a ton of time on their own, but added together, make me more efficient.
So....when entering contributions:
I have entered the contribution on envelope #1, and saved it. Is it necessary to click the "clear" button before moving to the next envelope # or is it just as well to simply put in the new envelope # and go from there? I was taught to always use that "clear" button, but it seems to me that it would work to simply move on to the next number, as long as I have saved the current one.
Does skipping the "clear" step cause any kind of problem in my contributions module that anyone knows of?

Thanks a bunch!

The Clear button is really only necessary if you want to remove what you have entered into the form without saving it.

The form is designed for you to change the envelope number in the first field, rather than clicking the Clear button.

One less step!
