I'm trying to select contributors in Contributions/Create mail merge/Select contributors.
I need to only select envelope numbers 1 thru 300. If I enter those it says "No Records Selected".
In fact if I select any envels by entering them I get that message. Only if I take the default 1-99999 do I get contributors (of course more than I want).
Any suggestions?
I'm using Rev 5/11/09 (See profile info, also)

John,
there is a July MR also.
Are you selecting all funds?
In this case since you want all those envelope numbers do not limit yourself in the other areas.
My test here using the defaults in all except envelopes worked fine. Of course you may have a few people who did not contribute in the default time frame, so you may want to start with 01/01/08.

Re: Working on a merge letter
I went to church to try it. We are using Rel. 7/14/09 at church. No problems selecting the envelope numbers this time. It must have been a bug that was fixed in the latest rel.
I just realized that you can't just do a backup of data and take it home and load it. You also have to actually upgrade to the latest Rel. at home as well. Thats why I was running an older Rel.
Thanks for all you do.

Backups only contain data files, not program files.
Maintenance Releases only affect the program files, not data.
