Upgraded to Version 11 over the weekend and imported the first batch of contributions from VANCO today. It read the file OK and printed out the Imported Contributions report that was correct. However, when I went to post these contributions, it said there was nothing to post. There were no records in the Unposted Contributions list. Thinking that maybe something didn't work, I imported the same file again. Everything worked this time, got the Imported Contributions report and they did show up in the Unposted Contribution list.
Now it gets interesting. When I went to post these contributions, got message that someone else was using the contribution files. The only other person logged in to PC at the time was the Receptionist who doesn't have access to contribution files. I closed PC on receptionist computer and I now could post the contributions. But when checking the contributions that were posted to Fund Accounting and the Posted Contribution list, I find that both of my imports actually posted, even through the first time I couldn't find them listed anywhere before posting.
Was wondering if anyone else had similar problems with Version 11? Had been using Ver 10 and importing from VANCO in the past with no problems.
Using the very useful feature to reverse the contributions, I could delete the duplice ones quickly.

Re: Importing Contributions
I'm curious... If you go to Contributions > Setup > View Contributions Audit Log, do you see two posting entries for that date?
Re: Importing Contributions
After checking the audit log, I only see one contibution that posted to fund accounting and then the corrections I made in contributions that only updated the contributions module. I corrected the entry in fund accounting manually in fund accounting.
Apparently the one post to fund accounting transferred the totals for both the import that seemed to work and the one that didn't. In fund accounting the totals for each item were double which would be the sum of the two imports.

Re: Importing Contributions
See my later post on this issue. Think that this problem was caused by having someone else logged into PC on network when I was trying to post contributions.
