Posted Contributions have disappeared

Hi,
For some reason the contributions I posted for the last week in December are not showing up anywhere in PowerChurch, even though I printed off a copy after I entered them. They are not showing up in "unposted contributions" either. Any thoughts on what could have happened?

Depending on the version you are in, In the Utilities Menu, View System Audit Log may show you a Back Restored event between the time you entered the contributions and now.

You might also check that you didn't accidentally enter them for December of 2010 instead of 2009. That is an easy mistake to make at year end!

I have PowerChurch Plus 10. I went to where you said and I'm not sure my version is the same as what you were talking about. It just gave a list of audit events, the last one having been in 2008. So am I going to have to re-enter the contributions that aren't showing up? Or is there something I can do to make them reappear?

If I had entered them in a different date, wouldn't they still show up in "unposted" or "posted" contributions? They aren't showing up anywhere. And I just checked the date on my print out of them and it is correct. I have no idea what could have happened.

If you know an Env# of a person that gave on the day in question, use the View Posted Contributions and goto the bottom of the list of entries. Were they entered as Dec of 209?

That's one of the first places I looked and they are not showing up there. Yes, the date for them is 12/27/2009. I entered them on 1/7/2010.

I usually go with the obvious idea here.

Has anyone done a database RESTORE lately ?? If so, they may have used a copy of the database that was taken before you entered the data, and thus overwritten the information.

No, I haven't done a restore (I'm the only one who uses this). I talked to someone on the phone and we couldn't figure it out. I just ended up re-entering that weeks contributions. Thanks anyway!

Still weird, you're the only one using Powerchurch ... very strange.
Does anybody do full computer backups? Maybe they did a full computer restore ??
