I have v10. I corrected about a dozen contributions that i had posted, cause i had entered some ofthem 2x. I had originally printed them out, til i saw some had 2 entries. So i corrected them by adding a minus amount, then saved. But when i view a report the mistakes are still there. How do i correct this and view a correct report and print corrected statements?
Much Appreciated!!
Joan

I STILL HAVE ENVELOPE# FROM LAST YEAR. SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME SOME IDEAS!
THANK YOU---JOAN
OK ... when you get ready to run the statements, are you checking to make sure the dates listed are Jan 1 2009 to Dec 31 2009 ??

Re: Can't print out contribution statement
Contribution statements only reflect posted contributions.
Can you see posted contributions in the "View Posted Contributions" screen? Are these in the date range you've selected in the Print Contributions assistant?

Info about Report Designer Window & transfer files
Previous problem taking care of, thank you very much. i see in my book, a Report Designer window, is suppose to be avialable to me. Am i right? If so how do i get into it? I can write reports, like in Word.
Any info on this? Also, i have a laptop and a desktop cp. Power Church is on the desktop,I installed Power Church on laptop, but have not put anything at all in it yet. My Question is, do I use a cd or flashdrive and backup all files and restore to laptop, then I would have files in both cp's?
Will i run into any snags? Is there anything else i need to know about this process?
Thank You for help & patience!!!!

Another friendly suggestion is that since the original problem as listed in the topic subject is fixed, you should always ask new questions in a new topic, in the correct forum. In this way, others who may have the same problems can find answers by browsing or searching the forums.honeybeej007 wrote:Previous problem taking care of, thank you very much. i see in my book, a Report Designer window, is suppose to be avialable to me. Now to answer some of your questions here:
1. The Report Writer is NOT like that in Word, it is much more complicated than that. There is a tutorial available on CD that can give you some training on Custom Reports. You can find out more about it here:
http://powerchurch.com/support/kb/kbvie ... icle_id=23
2. If the laptop and the desktop computer are on the same network, you should not have loaded Powerchurch on the laptop. It is far more likely that updates done on one machine could be overwritten when restoring a backup from the other.
It is much easier to use one database that is shared across the network. The procedure to do this is listed in this knowledge base article: http://powerchurch.com/support/kb/kbvie ... icle_id=33
However, if the machines are not on the same network, that is one is taken home at night, the easiest way to transfer files back to the laptop is by backing up to a flash drive, one that is recognized as a removable drive by the operating system.
However, not knowing exactly what use the laptop is going to be used for, I can't give you a good method on doing the backups. If you could let us know that, I can give you a procedure that would give you a reasonably safe way to do the backups, as well as any restores.

Yes, this is part of the Custom Report Writer that is built in to the program. To get there, you choose "Custom Reports" from any menu in PowerChurch, create your report query, then click the Edit Form button.honeybeej007 wrote:i see in my book, a Report Designer window, is suppose to be avialable to me. This is not available for editing the pre-built reports, as they are part of a different reporting system.
