The enCheck is pretty popular these days. Will it be supportted?
Do you have programming codes for its support in PowerChurch 9?
Thanks-Gary

FWIW .. we bought a check reader from a third-party (actually found it on eBay). It was programmable to allow it to read almost any encoding scheme. I just programmed it to use the encoding scheme that PC+ requires. I checked out the enCheck data sheet, and its manufacturer says it is programmable too .. so I would assume it would work.
Where can I find specs on how to set it

I had to do a Google search to find a company that sells it, and downloaded the data sheet. There are other check readers on the market that will do as good.
For instance, the Magtek MaxiWedge which I have. There's one on eBay right now for $10.00 starting bid. You will have to find a few keyboard adapters as it looks like it has the older keyboard cable adapters, but you can have a good checkreader for under $25.00.
And MAGTEK provides all its manuals, as well as a program to configure the readers online.

We run a MagTek check reader and I purchased it online.
Unless they have changed/updated the program, it requires a Win9x OS to run. Just an advance warning...if you need to program the unit.

Just to clarify, that's the Magtek check reader programming application,
not PowerChurch that requires Win9x.

Oops, sorry for any confusion.
The programming software (provided free of charge by MagTek) to change the MagTek reader requires Win9x last I checked.

When I read your post, I thought, "Wait! We tested with XP and 2K!!" Then I re-read it.

Strange .. cause I believe I ran it fine under WinXP ! Just checked the Magtek website, the MICRBase setup program is listed there as running under WinXP.

Awesome, that means they've updated it. It used to only work with 95/98/Me.
The reason Magtek gave us was something about the keyboard buffer being different. I don't remember exactly.
