V11 program crash when adding new Fund

I ran accross a problem today when adding a new Contribution Fund. After I had opened the Maintain List of Contribution Funds window I clicked the Locate tab to find out what was the last Fund number used. After I closed that Locate window I selected the Add tab and the program crashed with the following message.

Program: FRM_COFUND.ADD
LINE 18
ERROR 13
MESSAGE: Alias" not found

Happens every time.

FWIW I could not duplicate it here on my test machine.

Win XP, SP3 with all the latest MS updates.

Pentium M (1.6 ghz) processor, 2GB RAM (Dell Latitude 505 laptop)

Just tried it again and found I left out a very important bit of information. After selecting the Locate tab in the Locate window I click Cancel. Then I get the crash when I try to add a fund. It works fine if you click on OK.
