calendar year and mission year

Our fiscal year is January thru Dec. and the mission year is October thru September. I record contributions and they are posted to the fund accounting also. I want to be able to save the mission info from Oct. thru Dec. so that after I close out the year....I have the info for missions committee (money took in and the designation of the money took in). Right now I manual write this info down to add to the next year's(mission year) totals. I am trying to make it easier for someone to take over my job. I am the IT person, secretary, & treasurer. If something happens to me.........No one will be able to figure out what is going on!
