Error message when assigning Env #

I am receiving the following error message when I try to manually assign an envelope # as well as when I click to have PC automatically assign the number:

Program:FRM_MEEDIT.VERIFYENVNO
Line 115
Error 1683
Message: Index tag is not found

When I close the error message box or click OK I am kicked out of PC and have to start up the program again.

Can anyone help? Last week I was able to assign envelope numbers with no problem.

Well, I solved this myself, when I remembered that we have not re-indexed this week. We did that and it is working fine...so I guess I need to remember to try re-indexing whenever I have a problem first.

Yep, that's usually the first thing I do if I get an error message about an index.
