I was working in the month of Feb and needed to change a contribution made to an incorrect fund in January. I changed the working month to Jan, fixed the error in the CONT module by minus the incorrect fund & + the correct fund and posted. Then posted to Fund Acct'g. Checked my balance statement to see that everything was correct & wondered why it did not fix the Jan. entry. I thought maybe I did not post in Cont. Module so posted again, forgetting that I had unposted Feb contributions yet to deal with.
Now I have the Feb. Sunday's contributions posted in Jan.
Version 10 will not let me unpost the Feb.contribution I posted in January.
Since I have not yet posted this Feb. contribution to Fund Accounting, can it be fixed this way?
1) Working month = keep in January
2) In Fund Acct, under Modify Unposted Transactions, change the posting month to February
When I did this a message popped up
"This entry originally came from CONT module. Any changes made in Fund Acct will not effect the original entry in the Cont. Module. Are you sure you want to change this transaction in Fund acct'g?"

FWIW ... that message is basically telling you that if you move money from one income account in Funds Accounting to another, that change will not be reflected in Contributions. Its not stopping you from doing the change, just giving you a 'heads up'.

Whatever you do in Contributions, as long as you haven't yet posted those transactions in Funds Accounting, you can fix them in Modify Unposted Transactions[i/] in Funds Accounting.

The fixes you've done in Contributions may have created duplicate transactions. If so, you can see them in the Unposted Transactions list in Funds Accounting. If you do have dupes, delete them.

Then fix your dates on the correct Funds Accounting transactions making sure that they are posted to the correct month as you want.
