Report - All contributions and pledge, if pledged

Post by FCCPowerChurch »

I want to create a report as follows:

For each individual giver,
year to date congributions
by fund
pledge amount

The result of this report will allow me to focus on indivuals who have contributed to the church but have not made a pledge.

I can't figure out how to develop this report.

Solution???

Do you really need to know how much they have already contributed ?? Or just that they have not pledged??
There is a report for that ...

One of the reasons this report was developed was that currently, you can't access the posted contributions area of the database and the pledge area at the same time in the Custom Reports module. When I and others asked for this, all we wanted was something that would help us concentrate on those people who have not pledged, not the amount.

The only way to do what you want is to create two separate reports, then merge the data. It was time consuming. If you can ignore if they contributed or not, and just concentrate on whether they have pledged, this would save you a lot of time.

Even if you run this report, then the 'list of those who have not given' report, and used a pencil to cross those non-givers from the non-pledged list, or just save both as Excel files and merged them, it would help.

Thanks for the feedback and comments. We want a listing of people who have been attending church, making a contribution, but whom have not pledged. So, we will have to create several reports and then merge them into a spreadsheet.

I have asked PowerChurch several times for the ability to create reports containing both posted contributions and pledge information.

Bob,

Would not the standard attendance report and the 'contributed but did not pledge' report take care of this ?? Very easy to do a report for members that have not attended, then you can remove them from the report of non-pledged. This could do what you expect, just give you not the total amount contributed. Is actually contributed a major factor in this case ??

FWIW ... once Powerchurch moves to a new platform for their database, I suspect the ability to have reports 'cross areas of the database' will improve greatly.

The addition of the Export To Access utility was intended to answer all of the requests for things the custom report writer can't do.

In the future, though, it is our intention to have a built-in report writer that will not have such limitations.
