When I try to add contributions I get this:
Line: 8
Error: 114
Message: Index does not match the table. Delete the index file and recreate the index.

Then it closes down PowerChurch.

I was going to reinstall but is that the answer?

The first thing I would try is a re-index. It just might resolve your problem. You will find this under the utilities tab.
