We are new to the Accounting Module and how that interacts with Contributions. Our most recent entry for contributions posted to posted to December instead of January, I have changed the posting month in Accounting but how does that affect contrbutions? Can this be changed since it has posted to contributions? Help! Thanks!

The problem is that Accounting does not have to close out the month anymore. For the accounting module this is a good thing, for the contributions module it can become a gotcha.

The person who posts the contributions to accounting must select the correct month from the drop down list when they are going through the posting dialogue.

The accountant should be able to make the adjustment on the dates prior to the final posting of the contribtuions to the fund accounting module. This does not affect the Contirbutions module at all, the contributions will be credited to the date as set when the contribution entry dialogue was opened.
