Need to Use PREFERRED name in Reports

Need to Use PREFERRED name in Reports
Is there a way to get the system to use the "Preferred" name when I generate reports? I do not want to kludge the profile to make it print as needed - we would like to keep the genealogy correct. It works in "Envelope Numbers List",but not in "Selected Contributors" - which is the one I need.
