Contributions not posted in Funds Accounting

Post by jnsilva »

I have posted contributions to members and they are listed in their envelopes but it did not post to fund accounting for the date of 12/18. All other contributions have posted. There is nothing in the posting file. Also I have contributions that were posted to December but checks did not get deposited until 2013. How do I post that?

If you' see the contributions posted under the contributor's record, then I suspect whoever posted Contributions DID NOT post to Funds Accounting.

What you need to do is enter a manual transaction in Funds Accounting using the proper accounts for your bank, and your income accounts. To determine which income accounts to use, run a FUNDS REPORT in Contributions to see which funds were contributed to, then match those Contribution Funds to their income accounts.

As far as the problem with Contributions in Dec, but not deposited until Jan; I'll have to defer to someone who knows what the ramifications would be.

I, myself would let it post in Funds Accounting as 2012, as that is when the income came it. The deposit itself will eventually reconcile when you get the Jan statement.
