I have a team who would like a listing of active envelopes (those greater than $0.00), and that displays the number of times that individual gave for the past year. It would be fine even if the report did not give the total amount, but just the number of times - of course both pieces of information would be the preference.
Any suggestions, ideas, or comments?

I don't believe there is a standard report for this. Is there a specific reason they need to know how many times the contributor gave?R.V.Fagan wrote:I have a team who would like a listing of active envelopes (those greater than $0.00), and that displays the number of times that individual gave for the past year. The reason for the report is to help determine the number of boxes of offertory envelopes to purchase, and which type. Some have weekly (52) plus special occasions, others are just special occasions. This helps the parish reduce costs, and stay green.

You could run a Selected Contributors report and set the Fund number to your Tithe Fund, and set the threshold minimum to a certain amount. That will tell you everyone who gave more than that amount.
However, if someone visiting gave one large amount, that would include them.
You could run a Monthly Contribution Report. That will show you who gives month-to-month on a grid.
Set the Fund number to your Tithe Fund number. Set the date to all of Last Year.
It is not as concise as having the number of times a person gives, but it weeds out anyone who gave a one-time, large gift.
Make sure you note those that give through a bill-pay service, in the mail. They can receive an envelope number, but they don't need a packet of envelopes!

Re: Report Indicating the Number of Contributions in a Year
Thanks for the feedback. I have created a custom query, which gives me the raw data I need, and I'm just trying to figure out how to get it into a table summarized report. I have exported it to an Excel spreadsheet, and created a pivot table, but I would love to make it a summary tabular report. I'll keep playing with it.
