Good afternoon,
We often receive envelopes with no name or number how do you handle this? Our previos Finance Team set up an envelope with a number as no name.
Also we have some members who may not be at church on Sunday but give ther tithes at Bible Expo, mail them in,etc. Do you wait until Sunday to enter or do you enter during the week as well?
Thanks,
Angel

1. You should have an envelope setup for plate offering cash ... this should be used for all such collections of cash where you don't have any name or envelope number. This Knowledge Base article will help, look for the information under "Pennies from Heaven":

2. You can enter them anytime you want, however, we find it provides a better audit trail if they are entered with the rest of the collection by the counters on Sunday. There are always three people doing the count none of which are related, and it provides a 'firewall' from the office staff so that no one can suspect any improprieties. We usually drop them in our drop safe, and the counters pick them up with the rest of the collections so there's nothing hanging around the office.
