Report Print Error

We have recently installed Power Church v9. When generating reports and then printing them, we encounter a print error when we sent the report to our Toshiba Studio 350 (printer, copier, fax). What we see is character errors such as missing characters, numbers replacing letters, or funny symbols in some words. It appears as thought the character mapping gets screwed up. When we sned the reports to a Cannon Deskjet we do not encouter the errors.

We have not experienced this probelm with any other application printing to our Toshiba printer / copier. Does anyone have any thoughts as to why this might occur? Is it a driver issue? Is there something in PowerChurch or the printer that needs to be tweaked?

I thank you in advance for any comments or suggestions.

Make sure you are on the 6/1/2005 maintenance release for PowerChurch Plus. In that maintenance release we changed the version of Crystal Reports. The prior version of Crystal we were using required a printer driver that supported unicode. From your description it does not sound like your printer driver supported this. With the 6/1 MR we decided to go back to an earlier version of crystal reports for a number of different reasons. The good news is this version does not need unicode support so your problem should go away.

I updated our system to the 6/1/2005 maintenance release for PowerChurch Plus as you recommended. The update has corrected the report printing errors that we were experiencing. Thanks for your help!
