Contribution Report w/Subtotals

Post by bridgetrochon »

I have created my first custom contribution report. I am on the current version of PowerChurch and running Windows 10.

The report basically looks like this:
Church Name
Fund Report by Date, by Contribution , & Fund Type

Giving Date Contribution Type Fund Description Summary Amount
05/17/2017 Credit Card Tithes and Offerings $500.00
05/21/2017 Cash IMPACT/Portables $2.00
World Missions $57.00
Tithes and Offerings $45.00
Check IMPACT/Portables $80.00
World Missions $225.00
Tithes and Offerings $549.00
05/22/2017 Credit Card IMPACT/Portables $75.00

I have the report almost how I want it to look. The part I can't figure out is how to subtotal on a date and subtotal by contribution type. Can you please point me in the correct direction? THANKS!! Bridget

On the report designer, right click on the Detail band and choose "Data Grouping".

Click the Add button.
In the window that opens, type "date" in the Expression field or double click "date" in the list of Fields below.
Click OK, then click OK again.
The report now has a Group Header and Group Footer band labeled "date".
Hover the mouse over the Group Footer band and click and drag it down to open up a space to insert new fields.
Click the Field tool ("ab|" icon in the toolbar) and click below the "amount" field in the Group Footer.
In the window that opens, type "date" in the Expression field.
On the Calculation tab, choose "Sum" and click OK.

You can now position or style the field however you like, put a label next to it, bold it, etc.
