Record of members with different Status Codes

I need to create both a mail and email list for all the female / adult church members.
The list will be made up of church people who have different "Status Codes"
There will be eight status codes used for all the women.
I need to create an "and" list; active members and ass. members, and friends of the church and so on for eight codes.
I found something about "Grouping" but I don't know what this is. Or if I'm suppose to contain all the status codes into one group.
In Microsoft Access I would create a query with a string of code and code and code until I had selected all I needed.
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

It sounds like you need "OR" connectors rather than "AND".

No single person can have all of those Personal Status Codes assigned, which is what is implied with the AND.

OR would be to include everyone that has active member OR associate member OR friends of the church, OR any of the other values.

Yes you're correct I should have said "or" not "and". I caught my error after I sent. I sent another message right after to correct.
You must not have got it!
But my problem is the same I don't understand how to create an "OR" string in PowerChurch.
I can create the lists one status code at a time, but I don't see how to create an "OR" string.
Exp. "Active Member" OR "Ass Member" OR "Friends of Church" OR ---. For eight status codes.
Thanks for your help.
