Can I get input for the title of my report?

Post by John Dykema »

I'm looking for a way of accepting a field and then put that into the title of my report. I.e. a year code like 2007 or 2008. We are printing reports of new council member etc but want to also back date to 2007.
Does anyone have an idea on this one?
We are using PC+ v.11 with the latest upgrades, Win XP Pro, and 5 networked pc's.

After re-reading my post, here is a better way of asking this question:
Is there a way in custom reports to accept a variable from the keyboard? I then could use that variable, or field, and put it into the title of my report.
Hope that makes it more clear what I'm looking for.

Unfortunately, the reports are not dynamic that way. You can prompt for input in a specific field at run time (date = ASK LATER) but otherwise, the reports are static and would need to be edited before running them each time.
