"nameline" Doesn't Display on first entry

I hope someone can help with this. I have created a directory using the custom reporting feature. I have added the field "nameline" to the report and when I run the report it will not display the Mailing Name for only the first entry. All subsequent families' mailing names will display/print and all of the other information for that family displays/prints, only the Mailing Name field is blank. When I browse the results, the Mailing Name column contains the data that I want printed in the report, however it does not display/print on the report. Is this a bug?
