I'm doing a custom report that will show me me the members that have join dates entered and it is sorting all of January together, February together, etc. I need it to sort by year, month, then day. Can anyone tell me what needs to be done?

Is it grouping all of January together, regardless of the year?

Yes it's grouping all my January together, etc. regardless of the year. I need it to sort by year, month, day.
My sort is Join Date.
My filter is Join Date is not missing a date.
When the join date is entered on the member profile it is enter mm/dd/yyyy.

Is your 'Joined Date' field in the profile notes, instead of the date fields?

I just verified on this end that sorting by a date field will indeed sort properly in YYYY,MM,DD order.

If you have one of the customizable notes fields labeled Join Date, then it will be sorted like a text field 01/01/2009, 01/02/1960, 01/03/2002, etc.

My join date is under maintain personal profiles, Dates & Codes Tab, in the 4th Date Field above User Codes. There is even a drop down arrow that lets me select a date from a calendar.

Do you have any groups set on the output fields? That is the only other thing that I can think of that would cause the sort order to change.

I don't believe so. I didn't select any. I've opened each field in the 'select fields to show in query' and selected 'remove this fields designation'.
