Trying to save and re-open report as Word Doc

I have been trying to save reports I have run on my computer as Word Docs. I am using Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 10. I have Power Church 11. When I try to open the Word doc I get an error message about File Blocks. According to Microsoft info, my settings are what they need to be for the file to open. Any thoughts?

If you're getting those messages, then the settings are not correct, as security settings in Office 2003, 2007 and 2010 (which is what you're using) will not allow older the Word format of
Word 97 (which is what Powerchurch saves in) to open. Powerchurch really has no control over what Word format is used, as the report writer in Powerchurch is a component provided by a third-party.
You can read more about it here:

If you do not plan to edit the report after you have saved it you can save it as a PDF file instead, which is what I have been doing since this problem occurred.

Neil, could you be a bit more specific about the "adjustment" you made?
Thanks!

Now that I've actually TRIED to follow Zorak's direction, I've run into a snag.
The referenced Microsoft knowledgebase article sent me to
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/938810 which says to locate this registry subkey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\Security
I can get all the way to the "Word" level but there is no "Security" subkey under that.
Now what??
Thanks,
Eden
(not such a happy camper, after all....)

Are you using Office 2003 or Office 2007 or Office 2010? 2007 and 2010 offer a non-registry way to get this.

Eden,
I'd use the downloadable
.REG files listed in Method 1 shown there. That's the easiest way to do this.
