I am banging my head against the wall trying to make this work.

Field is called "amount"

I need a summary of "amount" per person on each page of the report.

Why does sum(Qmf_temp.amount) return as invalid, and then crash my Powerchurch application when I try to preview the report?

Just copy the amount field to the group footer or page footer band.

Double click it to open the properties for the field

Select the calculate tab and set the option to sum

Thank you. It's so frustrating when you know something is very easy to do but you can't see how to get started doing it.
