The following issue started a few weeks ago when I was still running version 14.4. I updated to version 15 a couple weeks ago and the same issue persists.
When preparing to print a check in the Acounts Payable module at the "Select Invoices For Payment" screen, clicking "OK" used to make the Check Options box pop up almost instantly. Now I have to wait anywhere from 45 seconds to over a minute. The first couple of times, I thought the program had crashed. After rebooting didn't help, I learned I just had to wait it out.
By the way, I work for two different churches, and this issue started about the same time on both installations. Both are installed on PCs. The printers are different brands: a Lexmark and a Copystar/Kyocera.
Is this happening for anyone else? Were you able to fix it, and if so, how?

I apologize your original post was missed. It sounds like you will be best served by giving us a call at (800) 486-1800 when you have access to PowerChurch, so a technician can take a look at it with you. We are available from 9AM to 6PM Eastern, Monday through Friday.
Re: Long Check Printing Delays
Called tech support, and they were able to remote in to my computer and resolve it. Thanks.

I've been experiencing similar check printing delays in PowerChurch Online, have you checked if your print queue is set
I've been experiencing similar check printing delays in PowerChurch Online, have you checked if your print queue is set to print in the background?

I don't know precisely what the tech representative from PowerChurch did to resolve the issue when he remoted into my computer.Davidaduby wrote: ↑Mon Dec 15, 2025 5:49 pmI've been experiencing similar check printing delays in PowerChurch Online, have you checked if your print queue is set to print in the background?
However, he did say the issue was something the actual PowerChurch software was causing.
In other words, the problem had nothing to do with any setting in Windows or the print queue.

Re: Long Check Printing Delays
Out of curiosity, I tracked down the support log to see what it was that the technician did to fix the issue. PowerChurch queries the list of printers you have installed and asks if any of them support tractor feed printing. That response never came back with an answer, so telling the software that it always needs to offer tractor feed print functionality was the solution. Normally, printers respond to that prompt with an "Of course not" haha
The software has been doing that query since at least Version 10 (2006), maybe before. If your Version 14 doesn't have that delay, it is likely a technician toggled that functionality on for you at some point in the past.
