When printing and sending out statements, we often need to edit the statements before printing them. We recently upgraded to PowerChurch 8.5, and discovered that we can't save the reports in any of the available formats (i.e. ASCII Text, RTF, etc.) without the format of the reports being changed significantly. For example, saving to a file as ASCII Text, the beginning of several words get chopped off, and the contribution amounts are listed in one long column instead of in a tabular fashion as when the report is displayed on the screen. We are running Windows XP with Office XP.
Is this a known bug? Is there something we should be doing differently? We used to be able to do this in the previous version of PowerChurch.
This is an issue we are currently looking into and trying to correct. It is not something you are doing wrong.
The only alternative would be if you had the Adobe PDF writer (not the reader), you could print the reports to the pdf writer and create pdf documents of the reports.
