We have 3 users of PowerChurch. When user 3 logs on her "desktop" and tries to log on PowerChurch she gets the following error
FRM_PCLOGIN.VALIDATE
Line 29
Error 111
Message cannot update the cursor PCUSERS, since it is read only. Then PC shuts down.
When user 3 logs on the "desktop" on the admin user's desktop and logs into PC under her own log in, she doesn't get the error message and can log into PC.
User 2 can log on to her "desktop" then PC without any problems.
This occurs when PC is not opened by anyone.
Please advise.

For some reason, you don't have access to write to the program directory. Most often, this is because you're running from a network and the share permissions for the network drive are set to read-only. The share needs to be full access.
Another time we've seen this happen is when you copy files from a CD directly (not through backup/restore). CD files have the read-only attribute set, and you have to explicitly turn that off after they're copied over.
9 times out of 10 though, it's the network thing.

not networked
We aren't networked. PC is on one computer that isn't networked to any other computer. I do back-up to CD & jump drive. Do I need to turn anything off?
Re: not networked
I think you hit the nail on the head when you said that User 3 when they log onto the admin user's account, they can update Powerchurch.RClark wrote:We aren't networked. I suspect that User 3
may not have permissions to update the Powerchurch directory.
You didn't say which version of Windows you are using, but this may happen under XP Professional and (I believe) Vista if the user does not have Admin authority, just a 'standard' account.

User 3
You! hit the nail on the head. User 3 was set up on XP Professional with a limited account and when I changed her to admin the problem was solved and she can log in PowerChurch on her "desktop" and make changes. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!
