Then you can assign envelope numbers from the contributor you are going to delete to the same envelope number of the correct contributor. Use the "Reassign an Envelope Number" under contributions. As long as the number you are reassiging to is in the same family, then PC will allow it. Then you go back in Integrated Data Entry and delete the profile of the contributor that is incorrect. You may also need to delete the family record for the incorrect contributor if it was entered as a family originally.
To clarify ...
'to assign the duplicate entries'
you
move the duplicate personal profile under the correct family mailing list record.
Here's a step-by-step process I wrote two years ago to do this:
1. Decide which mailing record you want to keep.
2. Go to the incorrect mailing record and MOVE the personal profile listed there to the mailing record you're keeping.
3. Under contributions menu, select Reassign an envelope number. Enter the envelope number of the personal profile you want to eventually delete as the first number, and the enveloper number of the correct profile as the second. Press OK, the data will then be merged, and the incorrect profile will then reflect the correct number.
4. Delete the incorrect profile.
5. Delele the incorrect mailing record.
