I currently have PowerChurch Plus 10.4 installed on a Netgear NAS Duo drive. The maintenance release was installed by copying the updated files to the drive. There are currently four Windows XP PCs connected to the server to access PChurch Plus. Two are hardwired ethernet and the can access the share fine. The other two are wireless and can open PCPLus but as soon as I login I get the following message and it crashes:
Program: userlist.updaterrow
Line: 384
Error: 111
Message: Cannot update the cursor PCONFO01, since it is read only.
I can browse the file from any of the pcs and it is not set to read only. However, I can not copy over or delete it from the wireless computers. The problem seems to have started when I installed the maintenance release. The files are not locked by any other PC. I would appreciate some ideas as to to proceed.

Re: Error:111 when I try to log in
The cannot update the cursor message indicates that the wireless users do not have proper permissions to make changes to the PowerChurch Plus data files. When you log in, the system updates the date of last login for this user. The files are being treated as read only for those users.

Re: Error:111 when I try to log in
Thanks for your reply. Is this something in PCPlus10 or perhaps with the ReadyNASDuo share? I am using the same login on both wired and wireless platforms. I also tried logging in as administrator and got the same result. I had successfully logged in on one of the wireless systems before. I recently added the second wireless computer so I don't have a history on it.

It's definitely something in the share or the connection.
The way that PowerChurch Plus is networked, the program and data files don't know or care if you are a local user, or networked via wire or wireless.

OK, I'm getting the same error message with certain users, but not with other users, and I don't have any computers networked. HELP. Version 10.4 Win XP. Just installed the latest maintenance release.

How are the problem users logging in to Windows? Are they logging in to a restricted account, or one that has admin privileges?pastorog wrote:OK, I'm getting the same error message with certain users, but not with other users, and I don't have any computers networked. The latest MR for v10 is 01/09/2012, does the program show that date when you check the 'About Powerchurch' area from the Help menu ??

OK. I get it. Changed users to have admin privileges. The problem is solved.
I don't remember setting it up that way in the beginning, but that was a long time ago now. Thanks for the interest.
