Hello,
I am attempting to generate a report for the professing members of the church.
One that shows their status ie. active/inactive.
Could someone please help me.
thank you.

without knowing more detail about where you have the active/inactive flag setup its hard to give you any pointers on where you can look to pull this data.
FWIW .. many churches use the personal profile status as the data item that shows whether or not someone is active or not. If this is being used in your church, it would be very easy to use one of the standard reports to get this information.

You don't have to do that, all we need is the name of the data item you use to show active/inactive.dynamite_the_only wrote:how do i send you a "print screen" in what format can I attach an attachement?

Re: Custom report
If you're using the personal status to show active/inactive status, then you could probably use a standard built-in report. I'd go to the Personal Profiles Reports, and use either the Selected Profiles - Full Status one or the Selected Names, Addresses, Phones report.dynamite_the_only wrote:oh![]()

Then on the Selection Criteria[/] click on the button next to Personal Status and you can select the personal profile status codes you want to see on the report.
If this is not what you need, then a Custom Report is not that hard to do. Just go into Custom Reports under the Personal Profiles module, and then create a new report. When the screen comes up asking you to select a field to compare against another value, select Personal Status Code, then click Next Step. On this page, select Exactly Matches, click next, then select the first code you want to report on. Repeat this , by clicking ADD on the filter dialog, using the connector And, until you get every code you want to pull reports, then click DONE.
The next dialog will ask if you want to run the report, say yes, and you'll then get a dialog that gives you some instructions on what to do next. Read that as it gives you the steps needed to finish your report.
This will get you started, if you need some additional info on reports, I'd see about buying the report writer tutorial available on the Powerchurch website. It does give you some great step-by-step instructions.
Hope this helps.

I did the latter Custom Reports and it says no matches found? this is confusing because if i scroll through the database everyone has a personal status?
