Displaying Membership

Post by BRogers »

Is there a way to control / setup the display of Integrated Data Entry so you will not have to view the people who are inactive all the time. I've been using Power Church for about 6 years now so the actual database of families is huge and yet our active membership is fairly small. Hope this question makes sense.

Unfortunately, I do not believe there is a way to do this.

What we've done at my church in the past is always clear out the database every year. You only need to maintain contribution records for three years, so after three years on the inactive list, they're deleted. We backup the database before we do this and name it as an end-of-year backup so if we need to get data, we have that available.

If you have people who are inactive and who have not contributed you can delete them anytime you want. We do this for visitors who have not visited in over a year and who never contributed, so that cleans out that info.

Perhaps that can be added as a wishlist item.
