Contribution statements over a certain $ amt

Post by compresby486 »

Hello!

Could anyone give me a clue as to why this happens? When I try printing all contribution statements, I check the box "select people by amount given, print statements for people who have given more than " and I put 250 in the box it still prints statements for people who have given less than $250?

Thanks again!
Denise

You have to fill out both parts of that selection:

"Print statements for people who have given more than:________ or a one time over:________"

If you put $250 in one of those selections, the other will be $0 and will always be true.

So, if you want statements only for people who gave more than $250 in one shot, you would enter 99999999999 in the first field and 250 in the second field. This will make the first field always false and the second field only true when someone gave more than 250 in a single contribution.

Um ... I'm looking at that logic, and I think I see a flaw:

With OR logic, to get someone who has given over $250 in total, or a one time over $250, you would have to put 250 in both:

more than 250 OR one time over 250 ... either one may be true and pull the data Denise wants !!

An alternative is using 249 and 9999999, that means that anyone who has given more than 249 (that is 250 and higher) either in total or one time will be pulled.

It's my understanding that you are required to receipt people who gave a one-time gift of $250 or higher.

If you put 250 in both slots, someone who gives less than $5 per week will be included in your selection.
