Closing the year

Post by MarkAndrew »

We recently updated to version 10 and I noticed that there isn't a menu choice for closing the year. Does the year automatically close when you close the 12 month?

Since version 10, you now have the option to keep up to 18 months open. There is no need to close the year as was done before.

I'm trying to close out some early months in 2009, but it's telling me that I have to post transactions before I can close the month out, but all transactions have been posted. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Here's a way to check that all transactions have been posted:
You can go to Accounting > Fund Accounting > Modify Unposted Transactions to look for it, or go to Reports - Fund Accounting and run the Unposted Transactions report.

I tried both methods, and both say that there aren't any unposted transactions. Any other ideas?
