Error when selecting PCPlus network directory

Post by NeilZ »

OK ... Pocket Powerchurch is installed on Pastor's laptop, PCPlus is located on secretary's computer and networked. PCPlus works fine on Pastor's laptop, try to setup Pocket PC, and I get the following error:'

Error 1,733 Class definition PCPLUS10.40 HELPER is not found.
Method: FRMPCSYNC.PC10HELPER
Line #2

I know I've used Pocket PC at another church on the network, but that was the V.1 edition.

The shared directory on the secretary's computer is : C:\Powerchurch\PCPLUS10, which is mapped to the PCPLUS10 directory as P:\ on the laptop. As I mentioned PCPLUS works fine. I also tried sharing just the first level directory: C:\Powerchurch, and the same message appeared.

As usual, thanks for all your support !!

If you're running Version 11, you need version 2.04 of the sync application. You'll see the version on the screen cross the bottom.

Actually, we have not yet installed version 11 at the church, we have some training to do first, and we want to get the COA fixed before we introduce new stuff ;)

That said, would the updated sync help with this ??

PowerChurch 10 is not installed on the laptop then. You've not even run the NetSetup10.exe.

When you do move to v11, you'll need the 2.04. It wouldn't hurt to have it now.

That's all been done ... its networked properly, and PC Plus works fine, its just that Pocket Powerchurch gets that error.

PowerChurch Today returns information to the Community page without errors?

If so, contact support.

If not, run NetSetup10 again, something isn't registered correctly.

OK ... ran the command you mentioned, no error. I am able to see the Community page without a problem, error message as listed in prior post comes up.

That said, I'm not sure about the installation of Powerchurch here. It was installed prior to our coming here, and I'm not quite sure about it.

I'm going to try an reinstall to see what happens.
