Deposit Slip Alignment

Post by pcu55303 »

I purchased the preprinted deposit slips from the company Powerchurch recommends but when I print out a deposit, the alignment is off, everything is placed in the box directly beneath where it should go.

In other words where it says CASH, there is a blank, directly underneath where it has a section for your first check number and amount, the cash amount is printed in there.

Everything needs to be bumped up 1 level, any ideas on how to do that?

Also when I print the file to disk, it says transferring file to local workstation but where exactly is that?

The usual problem with the deposit slips is the printer or printer driver used. You may have to let the printer know that there are no margins on the form you're printing. What type and brand of printer are you using?

Second, printing to disk ?? Are you saving to disk, or using the Window's print dialog's print to disk ??

I just remembered that you're using Powerchurch Online. Your printing issue may be due to the same problem that was mentioned in a post about labels. SInce you're printing from a PDF, you may have a problem with a printing default in Adobe Reader. Here is a knowledge base article on this:

http://www.powerchurch.com/support/kb/k ... icle_id=77

Also, when you save to disk from Powerchurch Online, you have to know what drive letter your LOCAL computer's C drive is mapped to. That is where the files are usually kept.

I had done a test on the deposit slip printing, since those deposit slips are the same as those used with Quickbooks. On my local machine with my local laser printer, the slip aligned fine. I suggest that the issue is with those default settings.

FWIW ... any problems with printing and saving files concerning Powerchurch Online, should be mentioned in that forum, as there is that extra layer of the Citrix type software that gets involved. Most other questions about how to do stuff in the program can be asked in the specific forum. ;)
