Basically my scenario, last wk I went to pull a 1st time attenders report based upon those in certain activity groups. However, when I pulled the report no names came up. I had a few names...for sure 1 name of a family, which I provided to Tech Support. This was the reply that I received.
After reviewing the data further, it would appear the problem is that none of the people who attended activity 3742 for the first time (such as ...........) are actually members of the activity.
One of the changes, that I was admittedly unaware of, made to the software with version 10 to most of the attendance reports was to not include profiles who are not members of the activity.
You can rectify the situation by making said child, as well as anyone else, a member of the activity.
If you go to Membership > Activities & Skills > Mass Update Activities & Skills and choose "Add" you can add multiple people at the same time. The Add Selected Profiles option lets you choose a group of individuals who have something in common, such as marital status, age, or years of membership.
From within the Check In Kiosk when you are adding them to the activity there is a check box that says "Permanently add to activity" this will prevent this from happening in the future.
After this I responded in this way...
I guess I am questioning the point of a 1st time attenders report then. When you permanently add an individual in Powerchurch to a grouping they are regular attenders to that group. That determination cannot be made on the 1st time they attend. I think that should be changed, as a 1st time attender visits the group or the church, they are not permanent members, but instead guests. We can determine in the future that they are permament attenders and should appear on an activity attendance report.
