We use version 10 of PowerChurch Plus. We have two separate accounts... A checking and savings. We are finishing a construction project that has lasted 18 months. For the past 18 months we have paid for the project out of our general checking account. After reconciling each month and having a true construction figure I have transferred the exact construction amount from our savings into our general checking to cover the cost (every month). I feel confident that the actual transactions and general entries have been done correctly. It was however transferred from the general checking to "zero out" the expense in several sub accounts. (for example.. construction labor, materials, architech, permits, etc)
Now that we have a "Town Hall" meeting with our congregation to update them on the process and the money spent, I need to account for all the money transferred. Is there a report that I can print that will show me only transfers from savings to checking during this time frame? I need to match it with the Account Activities report of expenses for these accounts.
Thanks,
Is there a report for transfers between accounts?

One report is the Account Activity on the Savings account.
Another one is the Account Activity on the Checking account.
This will show a clear path of the movement of money out of one account into the other. Also, it will show the date of each transfer which can be matched with the corresponding dates of the expenses.
How did you do the "zero out" transaction? Did you DB your checking account and CR the expenses?

Re: Is there a report for transfers between accounts?
Would I run an acivities report on the Savings Fund Balance or Saving Assets?? When I "zeroed" out I made several entries for example:
Credit saving Asset $1000
Debit Saving FB $1000
Debit General Asset $1000
Credit Construction labor expense $500
Credit Construction material expense $500
I can run several individual reports to see all the money coming in on the expense accounts, but for some reason it is much harder to make heads or tails out of the Savings... If I run an activity report on the general checking for 18 months it is pages long with hundreds of checks... can I just see the deposits and compare them to the contributions vs transfers?

Re: Is there a report for transfers between accounts?
I would run the Savings Asset, not the Fund Balance. The Savings Asset is where you entered the transactions.
I looked through some of the report options. I didn't see any that allow you to choose "only Debits" or "only Credits" to help filter through your checking account activity.
The Selected Transactions report allows you to specify the Reference on a transaction. Chances are, your deposits has letters in the Reference whereas your checks had numbers. You may be able to get a look at "just the deposits" coming into your checking account over a period of 18-months using that filter.

Re: Is there a report for transfers between accounts?
Thank you so much for your help. I found a report that helped more than the others. I printed a Journal report for the Savings asset but included only "GE" code. Since I have only entered these transfers directly through fund accounting general entries it gave me what I needed and showed which expense they credited as well.
Thanks again
