Its better to find this early, then at the end of the year. It appears that on the W-2, the local wage amount subject to local taxes shows up as doubled on the W-2.
There are two separate local taxes that are withheld, could this be the cause:
Amount doubled on W-2

Re: Amount doubled on W-2
I am just getting around to looking at this problem. If you go to Maintain Tax type, do both of the local taxes have the same locality name?
When adding the amounts to the W2 it looks at the locality names to see if an amount with that name has already been added. If it finds that name it will add to the amounts together. If you give each local tax a separate name, they should show right on the W2.

Aha ... that was it, they were both listed as Connellsville. I'll change one to the CASD (Connellsville Area School District) .... just tested it, and it looks great !!Jeff wrote:I am just getting around to looking at this problem.
