Sorry-I was in the middle of typing my question and we had a power surge. It may have posted before I was finished. Starting over, I would like to create a custom report that compares the income and expenses for a specified period of time for a specific line item
For example, Income-FLOWERS is 4520-109 and Expense-FLOWERS is 5720. Is there a way to run this without having to run it as two separate reports and then using a calculator to determine the net amount in the account? I understand the part about queries concerning membership issues but don't know how to create this report. Thank you! KIM

Re: Create custom report income vs expense for line item
You can use the OR condition with the Major Account.
( Major Account begins with "4520" and Subaccount begins with "001" ) or Major Account begins with "5720".
This will limit the data going to the report to these two accounts, no matter which fund they are in.
Fund Accounting custom reports are just the totals for the date range of the accounts.
