Ver 11, Payroll Setup
I just installed ver. 11 and for some unknown reason I cannot get past the section in which you are to set up the tax tables. I continue to get the message "specify tax type for each table to continue". I have entered Federal-married, single, medicare, SS, state tax and the boxes on the right of the table are all checked? What am I missing to do? Thank you
Re: Ver 11, Payroll Setup
I believe its referring to the tax type as shown in the dialog below:jimaharri wrote:I just installed ver. 11 and for some unknown reason I cannot get past the section in which you are to set up the tax tables. As you can see, the table is the Federal Married Rate tax table, and the type is Federal Withholding.

Re: Ver 11, Payroll Setup
Thanks, but unfortunately I have it setup that way. Problem apparently goes beyond this.
Re: Ver 11, Payroll Setup
Do you get this error on every table you try to save ??jimaharri wrote:Thanks, but unfortunately I have it setup that way. Problem apparently goes beyond this.

Re: Ver 11, Payroll Setup
I am working on a page called TAX TABLES. On this page there are 3 columns - Description, Tax Table and Completed. Below you can click on EDIT or DELETE. (when I highlight one of the decription items which were transferred from 10.4 and then click on EDIT I get the page you showed in previous reply (except mine is titled EDIT TAX TABLE). I have entered all the requested tax table info (ie Federal: withholding) for each of my description items and all the boxes on the right in the completed column are checked. Now I click on NEXT and I get the message in my original post.
Re: Ver 11, Payroll Setup
And the tables all have the tax deduction information correctly copied from version 10 ?? The reason I ask is, this is the first time I've seen this conversion problem reported in the forums .jimaharri wrote:I am working on a page called TAX TABLES. Re: Ver 11, Payroll Setup
The descriptions are slightly different, ie: in version 10.4 we used the description FEDERAL W/H for both married and single
In version 11.1 they are listed as FEDERAL TAX: MARRIED and FEDERAL TAX: SINGLE on the page in question. These descriptions cannot be changed.

Re: Ver 11, Payroll Setup
I understand, but has the actual data converted properly .. you know the stuff that lists the withholding amount and the income brackets ??jimaharri wrote:The descriptions are slightly different, ie: in version 10.4 we used the description FEDERAL W/H for both married and single

Re: Ver 11, Payroll Setup
Yes, the withholding table data - both single and married are there and match Circular 15.
Re: Ver 11, Payroll Setup
.......and also the SS and Med percentages are correct, along with the Penna state w/h rate of 3.07%
Re: Ver 11, Payroll Setup
Got the answer. I had a blank line in the tax table setup page. Just deleted it and everything was ok.
