Church Directory in Book Fold format

Post by Mike_Larson »

I am trying to publish a church directory in booklet form. The only way I have found to do it is to save the PC report as a Word document, print it out, cut it in half and paste the pages together in the proper, collated order. There must be an easier way.

I am using PowerChurch, Version 9 and Word 2002 on an XP computer.

I would appreciate it very much if you could show me what I am doing wrong.

Thank you,
Mike

Unfortunately, the booklet format doesn't work the way you might think it would where you take the printout, fold it in half, and staple it. You've already figured that out. You're not doing it wrong, it's just not doing what you think it should be doing, if that makes any sense. "Booklet" may not be the best nomenclature for that format.

Thank you for the feedback.

There is a difference between the 8.5 booklet report and the 9.0 version. I was able to paste the old one into Word and it would do the collating for me. The result was a nice booklet verson of the Church Directory. For some reason, I have not been able to do the same thing with the booklet format from 9.0. I will let you know if I can work it out.

Directory in booklet form

Mike I am trying to do the same thing you are, and I agree that "booklet" is not a very good description for this format. Have you had any success in figuring out how to collate this?

Thanks!
Donna
